About Us

Cytodiagnostics is a biotechnology company based in Burlington, ON, Canada, and Tulsa, OK, USA with a residency in the Innovate Calgary Life Science Innovation Hub located at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.

Over the past fifteen years, Cytodiagnostics has become the pre-eminent global supplier of gold and silver nanoparticles. With a commitment to providing quality materials, our in-depth knowledge of particle behaviour spans from initial synthesis to chemical functionalization and detection molecule conjugation, giving us a unique advantage for incorporating nanoparticles into diagnostic tests.

This realization led to the creation of CytoGROUP, a branch of our business with the mission of using excellent materials to provide top-notch lab-based and point-of-care diagnostics.

Our team has applied their expertise with chemical modifications as well as antibody and cutting-edge nucleic acid/aptamer detection molecules to create a range of products from lateral flow tests to plate-based assays, along with custom diagnostic test development services.

In addition to our three locations, Cytodiagnostics also has an associate company, CytoGroup, which specializes in lateral flow and vertical flow assays, and ELISA. Both products and development services are available.

Our Four Simple Missions

Product innovation and satisfaction - We aim to ensure that the exact products you requested are delivered to you in the quickest possible manner. As fellow scientists, we are ensuring that products are subject to environmentally-friendly manufacturing techniques, rigorous quality control and continuous shelf-life and stability testing, all to guarantee the highest quality products.

Custom R&D - Research and Development is a significant portion of our business. Contact us with your custom product or project request. Our knowledgeable team will be able to provide you with a highly competitive quote with realistic turnaround times for your consideration.

World-Wide Distribution - We fully understand that some countries have strict regulations on the import and export of nanomaterials, meaning that getting high quality materials can be a significant challenge. Our method of tackling this issue is by expanding our global distribution network to increase access to our superior quality products. We currently serve customers in more than 40 countries either directly, or through our valued distributors.

Collaborations - As engaged scientists, we strongly believe in the power of collaboration. Our end goals overlap with yours: the pursuit of scientific advancement. We welcome the opportunity to work with you on revolutionary projects, no matter the scope. Nothing is too small or too large. For more complex projects, we can harness our expansive local and global academic network to develop novel and tailor-made solutions for your project.
